CHILDREN ARE THE REASON WE RUN! Every year, hundreds of children in North Central Texas experience pain, loss, fear, and despair. Whether those emotions are caused by accidental or intentional forces, these children are victims of terrible circumstances. These children are why we run. Participants, Sponsors, and Volunteers of Run For The Children are part of a driving force to reduce the amount of child victims we see in our community. We run to say "no more!" We run to educate. We run ro provide hope for hurting children and let them know that someone cares.
Proceeds from Run For The Children go specifically to benefit the non-profit agency, "Virginia's House."
The mission of Virginia's House is to provide services for children who are suffering from abuse and neglect. Through Virginia's House several programs such as the Child Advocacy Center, C.A.S.A. (Court Appointed Special Advocate for children), Mentor Program, and Crime Victims' Assistance are able to aid in the growth and healing of each abused and troubled child in our area. Virginia's House serves Young, Stephens, and Throckmorton Counties. Help us make a difference in the life of a child.
